Our Hospital Works

Citrus Memorial Hospital was founded in 1957 as the first healthcare institution for residents of Citrus and surrounding counties.

Over the last 50 years, Citrus Memorial has provided quality medical care when you needed it most. It has recruited the best doctors, nurses and other medical professionals to ensure that care. Citrus Memorial is a vital member of the community.

With its growth, the hospital has evolved into the Citrus Memorial Health System. It has beds for nearly 200 patients along with a 24-hour emergency room, a world-class heart center, orthopedic services and more.

Citrus Memorial’s greatest tool for building and maintaining a healthy community has been its focus on patients. That focus extends beyond the emergency room or even your physician’s office.

Citrus Memorial has made community and patient health central to its mission—from critical care to preventative education and medicine. One of the best examples of this is the SHARE Club. As Citrus County’s largest and most active social organization, SHARE provides free screenings, health and wellness lectures, exercise classes and activities to more than 15,000 members each year.

Citrus Memorial works. It’s always working.
